About Me
Hi!
My name is Kate Hos, and I am a junior at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics with a concentration in Energy, Fluids, and Thermal Systems and a minor in Mathematics. I am also a varsity athlete on Penn’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams.
I am particularly interested in mechanical design, manufacturing, and the aerospace industry. This past summer, I worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at SMART Technologies, where I gained experience with mechanical design, CAD, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing documentation. At Penn, I am also a member of Penn Jet Propulsion, a branch of the Penn Aerospace Club, where I am able to further explore my interest in aerospace through hands-on engineering work.
Through my coursework, projects, and professional experiences, I hope to continue developing my technical skills, expanding my understanding of mechanical engineering, and building a strong foundation for a future career.
I hope my passion for engineering comes through throughout this portfolio. Please do not hesitate to reach out!
